White Ring Ski Guiding in Lech & Zürs, Arlberg

For over 60 years, Der Weisse Ring has been the Arlberg's signature route — 22km, roughly 5,500 vertical metres, linking Lech, Zürs, Zug, and Oberlech against the backdrop of the Omeshorn. Every January it becomes a race; the rest of the season, it's simply one of the great half-day ski tours in the Alps.

Guided by Nina Gigele, this is the White Ring done properly: the full signposted circuit, rated easy to intermediate, plus the lines just off it that most skiers on the route never think to look for. You get the iconic run and the local knowledge around it — where to detour, where the views are worth the stop, and what makes this circuit legendary in the first place.
