Fully Certified Austrian Ski Instructor & Ski Mountain GuideI was born on this pass. I have skied it in every mood it has, and I still get up at four to catch it in the right one.
Winter after winter at the Arlberg, full Austrian certification as a ski instructor and ski mountain guide, and a habit of saying no to the obvious line. What you book is never a timetable — it is a day read off the snow that morning, with a group small enough to change its mind at eleven.
The journeys started the same way. A friend's boat in Svalbard. A helicopter in the Andes with a pilot who knew which valley held the light. They are on this page because I would go again tomorrow.
